The hotel is conveniently located to visit all the attractions of Cadiz. We have stayed a total of 4 nights in the hotel choosing a junior suite each time. We find these suites very comfortable and spacious and have enjoyed a good nights sleep prior to catching our ferry to the Canary Islands!
We stayed at the Barcelo Cadiz for 3 nights in March 2008 and for 1 night in March 2010. On our first visit we booked a junior suite however on our second visit we booked a standard double room. The telephone in the bathroom was broken with the hand set being balanced on top of the unit which resulted in an open line! The room thermostat was broken with the temperature being stuck on 25 C which was uncomfortably hot! The windows were locked shut so no ventilation was available. I went down to reception and complained. The security guard arrived at the room some 5 minutes later and opened the window to alllow ventilation but this was totally unacceptable so asked to be upgraded to a junior suite! I was also unhappy at the €20 parking charge!

Hotel is pretty new. Clean. 3 minute walk away from the beach. I would recommend to go eat to Avenida 28 and Bara7este, both very close. Just ask the receptions. Avenida 28 is reasonable priced, awesome food and good service. You can park on any street any day of the week is there is no blue or yellow line.

This hotel is reasonably priced, has efficient employees with lovely smiley Receptionists. As for me, the location was particularly good, close enough to the restaurant, and the main tourist things. I ate at the in-house restaurant near the venue. The food was outstanding with a good choice of options.

The staff spoke very good english and were willing to help. The room was very clean and the location was 100 meters from the beach. It is right near the bus 1 stop that brings you right into the historical part of the city.
The window sounded like it was open all night because it was very noisy. Also, the bathroom had zero privacy because the door was see-through, so it wouldn't be ideal for families.

The room was quite beautiful and modern. The breakfast was excellent and very worth its 10 EUR price, the staff was nice and it was easy to find a parking spot nearby.
The location is a bit far from the historic center although its located on the main street. We had to walk quite a lot to get to the main points of interest.

Computer available for checking email in the lobby at no charge. Beds very comfortable. Room and bathroom were spacious. Hotel was on bus line - very convenient. Good lighting for reading in bed.
Tv didn't work with remote and shower head was moldy.

We had a nice view given it's location, the room was large and clean and staff were helpful. Particularly good value bar/restaurant (for a hotel)
The room, though high, had poor soundproofing from street below- window seal did not seem to be effective.

Very comfortable air conditioned city hotel. Close to the beach and not too far a walk into into the old town. For the price it was really good value for money and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a budget hotel in Cadiz.
Some of the fittings in the bathroom were a bit loose and the corridors were so dark we couldn't find the slot for our room key, but that was about it. Also parking is eu20 per day, but its free on the streets around the hotel if you can find a space.

The Hotel is right next to the beach (unfortunately, couldnt see it in my room). Very modern decoration of the room.
A bit distant from the city center. walk about 15 minutes... so, it's gives and takes~

We enjoyed staying with my aunt in a spacious Junior Suite, complete with a huge bed and a cozy sofa. The staff was attentive.
My wife says that the breakfast options could be improved for family-friendly variety.

We liked that it was close to the beach and easy to get transport into the main part of Cadiz.
I'm not sure what makes this a 4 star hotel. It seems new but it is showing some wear and tear that does not justify the rate paid when compared to comparable accomodation.
